Class 2 Attack Class 5 Spin Class 2.5 Rush Class 1 Counter Class 4 Weapon Knowledge
That's 14.5 classes worth of expertise that any pure melee should end up with. At lv30+ you get your first Max Expertise Goal of 20k Expertise.
So basically a pure melee has 5.5 Class of expertise to waste. Ignoring enhancement, which is what you should get, I see the following options for him.
Option 1: SharpShoot => Class 2 Shot, Class 2 Demonology, Class 1 Gun Knowledge => Giving him +30% damage against ALL beasts (90% of Suginami Gold) in return for taking 30% extra damage.
Option 2: Max Rush at class 5, and get class 7 weapon knowledge for the -20% counter/guard cool down.
Option 3: Get Sword Smith. Max Weapon Knowledge at class 9, after that work on blade for the rest of the character's life.
Option 4: Let him get whatever he wants, and tell him to prepare to restart his character at lv40 after buying a demon depository pass. (Demons stored in depository keeps when you make a new character. So he can basically start off with a blizzard jack frost, Inexperienced Cerebus and such level specific demons)
